Hong Kong Trip

Hong Kong 2011

Following in the Bloomfield tradition of international sports tours, a party of 30 girls and 4 members of staff travelled to Hong Kong in October for a hockey and netball sporting and cultural trip of a lifetime. The weather was sunny and warm throughout the stay, which was fortunate, as each team played 3 outside matches.

Throughout the tour the staff and girls visited many exotic places and learned much about the culture of Hong Kong. These excursions included visits to Man Mo Temple as well as Lantau Island to see the world’s largest outdoor seated Budda. Other highlights were:

a coach tour of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Island, including a sampan ride in Aberdeen fishing village harbour;

a trip to Victoria Peak including

a dim sum lunch;

a visit to a theme park to see the famous pandas;

and visits to the outdoor markets.

This was a fabulous trip enjoyed by everyone and the girls, as always, were great ambassadors for Bloomfield Collegiate School. Planning is already underway for the next international trip.
