Dance in Bloomfield Collegiate School commenced with much excitement in September as the Intermediate Dance Team, after winning the regional final, prepared to go to Scarborough to represent Northern Ireland in the Festival4stars competition.
The team performed brilliantly and, although they did not win, everyone enjoyed the experience and it was great to see such talent from all around the United Kingdom. Both the Junior and Intermediate Dance Teams are now rehearsing in preparation for the competition next year and hope to retain their title.
This year has also seen the introduction of GCSE Dance into the curriculum as an extra option for Year 11 and 13. This is a great way to explore many new styles of dance and to gain experience in musicality, performance and commitment.
