Celebrating the Success of Our Year 14 Leavers
We are incredibly proud of the diverse and ambitious progression pathways chosen by our Year 14 students over recent years.
The vast majority of our leavers continue into Higher Education, with many securing places at leading universities across Northern Ireland, Great Britain and beyond. Queen’s University Belfast and Ulster University remain the most popular destinations, reflecting the strong academic achievements and aspirations of our girls.
Students have progressed to a wide range of exciting courses including Medicine-related disciplines, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Psychology, Criminology, Business, Law, Engineering, Education, Languages, Creative Arts and Sports Sciences.
We are particularly pleased to see increasing numbers of students gaining places at highly respected universities across Great Britain, including Cambridge, Durham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews, Exeter, Loughborough and Northumbria. These destinations reflect the talent, determination and hard work of our students throughout their time at Bloomfield Collegiate.
Teaching and education continue to be popular career pathways, with many students progressing to Stranmillis University College and other teacher education programmes. Health-related courses such as Nursing, Physiotherapy, Biomedical Science and Pharmacy also remain among the most sought-after choices.
Alongside university progression, a number of students have successfully secured Higher Level Apprenticeships, employment opportunities, further education courses and gap year experiences, demonstrating that success can be achieved through many different pathways.
As a school community, we celebrate every destination and every achievement. Whether our students are beginning university, starting employment, undertaking an apprenticeship or pursuing further training, they leave Bloomfield equipped with the skills, confidence and resilience to thrive in the next stage of their journey.
