Our AS English Literature students ended Year 13 with front row seats to an evening performance of “A Streetcar Named Desire” at the Lyric Theatre.
The performance was powerful and moving and earned a well-deserved standing ovation. It was a spectacular way to gain crucial knowledge and understanding of the staging techniques, character motivations and dark themes of the Tennessee Williams’ play before the students sat their AS examination on this text.
After the performance we grabbed a photo in the foyer with Seamus O’Hara who plays Mitch. All the actors in this show can take great pride in what they have achieved.
