25th October – 2nd November 2011
A party of 30 girls and 4 members of the PE department depart for Hong Kong on Tuesday 25th October for what promises to be a sporting and cultural trip of a lifetime.
Bloomfield has followed a great tradition of international sporting tours to exciting and far flung destinations including Barbados in 2003, Barcelona in 06 and most recently Australia, Singapore and Bangkok in July 09.
2 Hockey teams and 1 netball team will play 3 matches each and experience the interesting and beautiful culture of both the mainland and the island including tours to the World’s tallest seated outdoor bronze Budda at Ngong Ping, a sampan ride and a Hong Kong Island tour as well as watching the Symphony of Lights at the Tsim Sha Tsui Waterfront.
It has been a real team effort leading up to this trip with staff, parents and pupils working together to raise much needed funds.
We look forward to displaying photographs of the trip on our return and hopefully planning ahead for our next exciting venture in a few years time!
