The trip to Londonderry took place on the 29th February and was part of the Dissolving Boundaries project.
This project partners a school in Northern Ireland with a school in the Republic of Ireland. After initially ‘getting to know each other’ using discussion forums and then creating Wiki pages, the pupils from both schools meet ‘face-to-face’. The destination of Londonderry was chosen as a case study for their project topic, the Plantations of Ulster. The pupils walked along the city walls before having a tour of the Tower Museum. It was a most enjoyable day for all involved.
