The Greatest Show

girls dancing in the assembly hall

‘The Greatest Show, An Evening of Dance and Music’ took place on the evening of Wednesday 19th June in the assembly hall. This was the first time the Dance and Music Departments had put on such a display and involved a number of girls in Years 8-11.

The dancers worked tirelessly, in a flurry of panic and sequins, preparing for the production along with the rest of the amazing musical talent of Bloomfield Collegiate. The evening showcased a range of dance styles including lyrical, hip hop, modern and tap. We had solo, duet and trio dances, along with the troupe performances, throughout.

There were also some stunning vocals from Storm Dougherty and Alana Watson. One of the highlights of the night had to be the mesmerising Boomwhackers. It was a great musical performance that was enjoyed by pupils and audience alike.

The evening would not have been the spectacular show it was if it was not for the hard work and commitment of the dance captains and choreographers, Paris Todd, Morgan Neill and Ella Scarah. The dedication of all involved made the finished product something the girls can look back on and be very proud of.
