Ballyhackamore
Bloomfield Collegiate School is situated in the center of Ballyhackamore, one of Belfast’s oldest villages and now a thriving community of shops, restaurants and a variety of businesses.
We are also on the main arterial route between Belfast City centre and Newtownards so our catchment area goes beyond East Belfast – it’s no surprise that many parents take advantage of this location and “drop off” our pupils at the school gates.
School Buses
Translink provide dedicated school buses to Newtownards, Comber and Bangor.
Belfast Glider
The Glider is an innovative mode of travel for Belfast and is inspiring more of our pupils to choose public transport. It is easy to use, frequent, accessible and convenient. With the all-day service, even if the hockey match goes into extra time, there will always be a bus available.

We are situated along one of Translink’s main “corridors” so there are a number of Metro buses that stop in Ballyhackamore.

Cars
Bloomfield Collegiate is a very busy school so please be careful and considerate when parking your car on the main Upper Newtownards Road, Astoria Gardens and Knockhill Park. It is important that we have your continued support in creating a safe and respectful environment.
