Dates for your Diary

Industrial Action

You will be aware of the proposed Industrial Action by five teaching and school leader unions on Wednesday 26th April. Following a risk assessment in terms of pupil/teacher ratio, we will be unable to open to pupils on that day except in the following circumstances:

  • In cases where teachers who are not involved in industrial action have arranged to meet with specific senior examination classes;
  • Where private study facilities are required, but only at the prior request of parents;
  • For pupils who avail of Free School Meals to come to school to collect a lunch, again only by prior arrangement by parents.

Parents/Guardians who wish to avail of either private study or a lunch for their child should contact school either by phone or email to info@bloomfield.belfast.ni.sch.uk by 4pm on Friday.

GCSE/A level Choices webinar

On Monday 24th April, parents of pupils in Year 10 and 12 are invited to attend a short online webinar via Teams where the Options process will be explained and frequently asked questions answered. This will be most valuable for parents who have not been through the process before. Choices forms will be issued to Year 10 this week and Year 12 early next week. Details for joining the webinar will also follow.
