A Message from the Vice Principal

The Neill Buidling

Dear Parents and Carers,

It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the new Vice Principal of Bloomfield Collegiate School. I feel extremely honored and privileged to join the Senior Leadership Team and Staff as we build upon the success of such a fantastic school.

Since joining Bloomfield at the start of June, I have been lucky enough to walk the site at breaktimes, visit classrooms and speak to pupils. I have been struck by the levels of hard work, effort and exceptional manners demonstrated. Behaviour is excellent and the girls speak with great warmth and high regard for their friendships, school and learning. Staff dedication, commitment and care for pupils is impressive. Seeing the school in action has shown me that we really do embody ‘Excellence in a caring community’.

I have worked in education for 25 years and I have been a Senior Leader for over 15 years, I know that a successful and happy school depends on all of us working together. As parents and carers, you make an important contribution to your children’s achievements and I’m excited to build on the relationship between you and the school going forth.

As part of my role, I will lead on Curriculum and Teaching and Learning. We will be holding various events to support pupils, parents and carers such as our parental consultation sessions and subject information evenings across the academic year. These will be great opportunities to get to know the staff and I look forward to meeting many of you there. Please keep an eye out for further correspondence regarding these whilst we finalise dates. In the meantime, should you need to get in touch please do not hesitate to contact me via our school reception.

Finally, I have included the key dates for the next academic year to help with your own planning.

I hope you have a lovely summer break.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Thomson

Vice Principal
