European Youth Parliament UK Final 2012

After being successfully selected to represent Northern Ireland in March, ten Year 14 pupils travelled to Liverpool in September to compete in the UK finals of the European Youth Parliament.

Fourteen issues were debated over a two day period. These ranged from how the EU could create a lasting legacy from the Olympic Games to how the EU could help end the Tibetan diaspora? The pupils engaged the judges, their fellow delegates and the audience with their knowledge on each specific issue and their oratorical skills.

Despite not being selected to attend the international session in Munich these pupils should be very proud of their achievement. Well done to all those involved.
